Some of the many products installed by our expert technicians are state-of-the-art office furnishings such as walking desks.Companies are trying hard to ensure the health and well-being of their valuable employees by providing easy ways for them to keep their hearts healthy and to work off deadline stress by moving more.As you know, new medical advice says it is better to stand than to sit at work.Walking desks provide a desk at standing height with a built-in treadmill.Designed for standing still or walking, these desks are innovative and unusual. They are becoming more and more popular, especially with clients whose business is health or sports-related.
Movable workstations for use by employees whose job descriptions require them to move between offices, hospital rooms, examination rooms, classrooms, or conference rooms are another innovative option our clients request more and more frequently.Another standing workstation option, these “desks” are on casters allowing workers to push them from place to place without lifting or carrying computers or other heavy equipment.
Movable workspace walls are another useful addition to many workplaces. These walls can form offices, break rooms, conference rooms, assembly areas, and can be used to divide large spaces where many employees were previously officed with no privacy.Movable workspace walls come in several formats:
Temporary walls that can be lifted by two workers and moved easily to provide a changeable design when client needs are frequently very flexible.
More permanent installations for use when a client wants to divide a space to provide such formats as:
Cubicles
Dividing one, larger office into two or more smaller offices
Study carrels
Public computer spaces in such places as libraries, study halls, human resources departments
Walls intended to provide a division between clients and company employees in such applications as reception desks and checkout areas in insurance and medical offices, banks, or automobile dealerships, to name a few.
Decorative walls forming hallways through large, open spaces.
These useful, movable walls are available in whatever height or length your facility needs.Your movable walls may include glass panels, decorative fabric coverings, and doors. Some of these systems are designed to work with other furnishings, fixtures, and equipment to form an integrated, dedicated workspace including a desk, filing system, supply storage, and digital technology add-ons such as keyboard platforms and monitor arms.

Cubicle Lift: The art of picking up a cube or run of cubicles to allow for carpet to be changed out without tearing down and reinstalling the entire cubicle.
What we do: BILT offers cubicle lift services to any company, of any size, to aid in facilitating the facelift of worn or dated carpet without the interruption and downtime caused by a tear out and reinstall.By working with the carpet contractor BILT is able to allow for maximum up-time and minimum disruption to employees working within the space.Currently we are able to lift Hayworth Unigroup and Premise; Knoll Dividends and Reff; Steelcase Answer and Avanier; with more lines coming into our service spectrum all the time and as needed.
How we do it:BILT and the contractor in charge of the remodel will work together to ensure good communication and highest quality workmanship prior to the start of work.BILT will advise as to the number of cubicles or runs of cubicles that can be effectively completed each evening along with the capabilities of the carpet team. BILT will identify a course of action to be followed for each evening’s work. The way this work is accomplished involves the employees in a section slated for new carpet to empty their belongings out of the top drawer of their file cabinets and put the boxes on the worksurfaces above. When they are ready to leave for the day, they will lay their monitor flat on the worksurface. At a given time BILT will remove the file pedestals as needed and lift the panels using jacks that have been developed specifically for this task.At every other panel junction a wood block is installed which holds the panels in the air by one inch.Next the carpet is removed except where the wood blocks are holding the cubicles up.We then remove the wood blocks allowing the rest of the carpet squares to be removed. Then the BILT lays down the glue and flashes it to prepare the floor for new carpet.Next the new carpet is laid following the same procedure as the tear out.BILT will once again lift and remove wood blocks as needed so the carpet team can install new tiles. Then the cubicles are set down on the new carpet in the same position as they were previously. The files are reinstalled, all power is checked for continuity and data lines are verified that they have been tucked back into their respective places. In the morning the employees arrive and unload their boxes, pick up their monitors and get to work. There is no downtime.
